Development of a re-engineering concept for the existing user exit developments in IS-MAM
- Aim: Reduce proliferation of existing user exit developments which has grown with little coordination over the last 20 years
- Screening of existing code (> 10,000 lines)
- Identifiy obsolete / outdated code
- Identify undesired code, e.g. constant values for organizational units
- Development of an object-oriented concept (similar to BAdI) for future optimized user exit development
- Extensible
- Conflict avoiding
- Parallel developments on same object possible
- Switchable (filtering)
- Applicable for all user exit types (forms, customer functions, enhancements, …)
- Estimate of effort for migration of existing user exit code
